Testing BlogExplosion

February 19, 2005

For three days now I am trying BlogExplosion. It is a service where your register your blog and then you're going to visit other's blogs. For that, you will earn credits. As much as I have understood, the more credits you have earned to more traffic is diverted to your blog. Hmmm, unfortunately that does not necessarily mean that people will really stay at your blog and read it.

Ok, you have to stay a certain time, usually 30 seconds, on the blogs before you can switch to another one.

However, so far I got 45 visits but none of those visitors have left any comment yet. I will continue to try out this service if it really works for me otherwise I just will cancel my membership again. Luckily the membership is for free!

Ok, if you come to my blog and you think you like it or you like the topics I am posting about then just drop a comment and give some feedback! :-)

One thing i have learnt with BlogExposion is that if you want people to comment on your blog, you have to comment on as many peoples blogs as you can.

Nice blog! I came through Blog Explosion. You should also try Blog Clicker. http://www.blogclicker.com/index.php?referrer=nannersp

Don't worry - you'll find that a lot of visitors won't leave comments, but there will be some who do.

I gotta agree with you. blogexplosion does not seem to work for me either. Usually, people do not leave any comment. Even, I myself lot of times do not leave any comment because saying something like "nice post" or similar does not make sense, atleast to me.

    Hi all,

thanks so far for leaving a comment what is really kind of you! ;-)

Just wonder, what would have (not) happen if I wouldn't have written this post? ;-) Does anybody know this?

    Cheers!

Here's my experience with Blog Explosion:

First off, I like it. I like their stat-keeping, I like the ratings/comments system etc.

The traffic isn't ideal; no click-through is going to be. Everyone clicks through; no shame in it; that's what they do.

But blogs will catch their eye. Maybe its the content, maybe the presentation, maybe the character.

Blog Explosion exposed my work to new people, some of whom left very thoughtful comments. It's my preferred click-through program.

I hope eventually, I'll have other good means of getting readers that I can ditch the click-exchanges altogether.

You got comments to this one; it just takes some time to get noticed, at any click exchange.

(I will say that Blog Explosion gives bonus clicks more infrequently than the others. It's easy to build a surplus of click credits on BlogAzoo and Blogclicker, where you have to keep working at it with Blog Explosion)

Blog Explosion has helped me to discover some new blogs to check out, but I don't know that its really brought me any new visitors.

Blog explosion is a great way to get to other blogs, moreso than the traffic. I see the ones I like and I come back. Good to have you on board. Keep it, Post to other blogs, and see traffic generate w/out needing the explosion. Have a great day!

    Hi from another ex-pat! :)

I've found a lot of blogs through BE that are now on my blogroll. I've also been told that several "regular" readers found me the same way. The down side is that I really don't pay much attention to my stats anymore, because they are so inflated from BE. Don't worry - if people like what they read, they will come back. I'll be one of them :)

  1. Kitty Says:

I'm here from BE. Everybody's got the right idea. Just find some good blogs you enjoy and join their communities by commenting. Can't expect to be part of the party if you don't share! Good luck!
