I don't want to be rude, but sometimes I get the impression that this country is made for even the most stupid person. Here it's even more interesting as Mansion House Station is in the middle of The City, so you would expect smart City boys and girls use mostly this station. However, obviously, London Underground made some other experience with the City folks that caused them to put up such a sign. Well, I can understand them in some extend, because not all City boys and girls are as smart as you would expect. Sometimes, they can drive you crazy with their own definition of being smart.
